Eight weeks to go

So, I've bought my tent, a Hilleberg Nammatj, and I've booked my flight. I have all the maps I need. I've been to the dentists and the doctors for check ups (fit as a fiddle, as Lilian claims they say "over there"). I even have a brand new pass port, because the old one had a tiny crack in it and the US customs are apparently quite strict about such things. Furthermore, I have a sleeping bag and an air mattress and, thanx to Anna&Magnus, a scary set of camping cooking utils. What else could I possibly need for this three months bicycle holiday across the US?

Well. A bike perhaps? Because as it turned out, when I went to pick it up from where it had been stored for the winter, waiting for me, or at least so I thought, it was gone, stolen, taken, not there anymore.

So, I will have to arrange for a new bike. But, as I realized while having lunch with my colleagues today, there are actually another couple of things to get, such as a new music device and, perhaps the most difficult to find: a cool outfit (Malin believes this skirt would make a good start). And a few more things. So, I'm not totally and completely ready to go, but that's just fine, because there is still an ocean of time...
